I read and answer these myself.

If you’re looking for an independent insurance broker in North Carolina or South Carolina, I’d be glad to help. Whether it’s Medicare Supplements, ACA Marketplace coverage, or dental, vision and life insurance, the first step is just a conversation.

    Where I work

I’m licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina, and I work with clients throughout both states — coastal communities, inland towns, and everywhere between. Because everything happens by phone, text, and email, your location within the Carolinas doesn’t limit anything.

I’m also licensed in Arizona, where American Insurance Benefits has been based since 2004. If you split time between the Carolinas and Arizona, I can handle both sides of that.

What to expect when you reach out

You’ll get me — not a receptionist, not a queue. Tell me what coverage you have now and what’s worrying you. I’ll ask about your doctors, your prescriptions, your budget, and your timing. Then I’ll lay out your realistic options and what each one costs.

There’s no cost for the conversation and no obligation at the end of it. If your current coverage is already the right fit, I’ll tell you that and you can get on with your day.

    Good times to call

If I don’t pick up, I’m with another client — leave a message or send a text and I’ll get back to you the same day. Texting works well for quick questions and for setting up a time to talk properly.

    A note on timing

Some things in insurance are genuinely time-sensitive: your six-month Medigap Open Enrollment window at 65, the 60-day clock after a qualifying life event, and the annual ACA Open Enrollment period. If you’re near any of those, don’t sit on it. A five-minute call now can save you from a problem that’s hard to undo later.
