1 in 10 Medicare Advantage members were forced out of their plan for 2026 — a tenfold jump in two years.
A Johns Hopkins study published in JAMA found roughly 2.9 million people lost their Advantage plan when carriers exited markets. PPO plans, smaller carriers, and rural counties were hit hardest. This is exactly why I don’t sell Advantage plans.
Why I Don’t Sell Medicare Advantage
In fact, I’ve watched too many people get pulled in by a low premium, then run into network restrictions and denied care right when they needed their plan to work. That’s why I’d rather offer you coverage I’d put my own family on — that’s why I focus on Medigap, not Medicare Advantage. You can compare the two yourself at Medicare.gov.
